Expression of concern regarding paper by Park et al, published on 25 June 2015: “Epidemiological investigation of MERS-CoV spread in a single hospital in South Korea, May to June 2015”, Euro Surveill. 2015;20(25):pii=21169. It has been brought to our attention that some of the authors may not have been informed about the content of the above paper. There is a lack of clarity regarding rights to use the data. The editorial team are investigating what action needs to be taken.

It contains:

  •  EpiSouth Events: Presentation of the Network activities at different meetings.

  • EpiSouth Documents: EpiSouth Weekly Epi Bulletin (e-WEB) n. 200, biannual technical reports and EpiSouth-Plus Project organization.  

  • EpiSouth Activities: WP4 meetings of experts and heads of laboratories of the Mediterranean Regional Laboratories Network and first WP5 workshop and training session. 

  • EpiSouth Network: Current status of the EpiSouth Network.

  • Focus Topic: Euro-Mediterranean Civil Protection Operational Manual published by PPRD South. 

The EpiSouth Network aims at creating a framework of collaboration for the control of public health threats in the Mediterranean region and South East Europe. The electronic bulletin constitutes one of the tools used for the Project’s dissemination. The EpiSouth electronic bulletin is available on-line in English, French and Arabic.
