In the article ‘Potential for Zika virus transmission through blood transfusion demonstrated during an outbreak in French Polynesia, November 2013 to February 2014’, by Musso et al., published on 10 April 2014, the GenBank accession numbers of the two Zika virus (ZIKAV) sequences, derived from the amplified PCR products from two blood donors whose blood was positive by ZIKAV real-time reverse-transcription PCR, were added on 11 April 2014.
