Abstract

Dans ce numéro, Wolfgang Witte et ses collègues décrivent l'émergence en 2002, en Allemagne, de cas d'infections à Staphylococcus aureus résistants à la méthicilline communautaires (co-SARM) produisant la leucocidine de Panton-Valentine. Leur article montre la rapide dissémination géographique à travers l'Europe de ce variant extrêmement virulent d'un "vieux" pathogène.
