Abstract

En 2005, on a dénombré 8,8 millions de nouveaux cas de tuberculose (TB) dans le monde et 1,6 million de décès. Les taux d’incidence en Europe occidentale allaient de 4 à 10 pour 100 000 en 2001 mais la tuberculose constitue encore un défi considérable dans cette région, notamment en raison des retards dans le diagnostic et la prise en charge.
