Coordinated European actions to prevent and control norovirus outbreaks on cruise ships
More LessBetween 1 January and 5 July 2006, 42 reported outbreaks of gastroenteritis on 13 different cruise ships sailing in European waters were confirmed or suspected to be caused by norovirus. Almost 1500 cases of gastroenteritis were reported among passengers and crew, but no common source has been determined.
