Unexplained summer increase in non-travel related legionellosis in the UK and Netherlands
A recent rise in the number of sporadic legionellosis cases has been observed in England and Wales and the Netherlands which may be associated with certain weather conditions.

Coordinated European actions to prevent and control norovirus outbreaks on cruise ships
Between 1 January and 5 July 2006, 42 reported outbreaks of gastroenteritis on 13 different cruise ships sailing in European waters were confirmed or suspected to be caused by norovirus. Almost 1500 cases of gastroenteritis were reported among passengers and crew, but no common source has been determined.
