Four sudden deaths in men aged between 50 and 75 years with underlying cardiac conditions were reported to public health authorities in Israel over a period of six days between 15 and 21 October 2006.

On 16 August 2006, seven cases of acute intestinal infection were reported to the Riga branch of the State Agency “Public Health Agency”
